Professional Development Day Attendee: As far as feedback, I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed the interactiveness that the group had! I loved hearing from other women as the presentations related to them. I felt that it made for easy interactions during the breaks because we could easily find something to communicate about! I thought that all of the speakers had great content and a great message. Everything was very comfortable and you created an environment where everyone felt safe to share their own insights! From an early age Firozé was groomed to be a part of the fashion and beauty world. Raised in two of the industries capital cities, London and Paris, by her mother, a professional nutritionist and naturalist, and her sister, acclaimed Iranian actress, Vida Gahremany, Firozé gained aunique and practical perspective of Natural products and glamour. After completing her basic education in England, Firozé returned to Paris where she studied stage make-up and earned a degree in Cosmetology from L’ Institut de Maquillage. While in Paris, Firozé began a lucrative modeling career that afforded her the opportunity to appear on the runway for numerous designers including Dior and Yves St. Laurent.
In 1978, Firozé moved to the United States and continued to work as a successful model. After moving to New York City in 1980, she found her real love was working behind the scenes at fashion shoots. There she found herself giving advice to models and actors, who consulted with her about their nail and skin care.
Much of the advice she gave was based upon the treasured book of remedies left to her by her grandmother. Grandmother was a well-respected educator and healer known far and wide in Iran and would have been known today as a Naturopath.
In 1982, encouraged by her growing roster of celebrity clients, Firozé turned her expertise into a full time business and opened her own nail salon in Manhattan. After working as a hand and nail product consultant for Cutex and L’Oreal, she developed her signature line of organic nail products for mass distribution in late 1999.
Some of her clients included Cher, Heidi Klum, Kim Catrell, Cindy Crawford, Angela Basset, Ed Harris, Uma Thurman and Oprah Winfrey.Now owner of Elan Skin Spa of Sarasota, in Florida )
